Two registered Nurses
share full time employment at Hervey Bay Special School to assist staff to support
students with medical needs.
Their role is essentially:-
*To contribute to the health component of individual education plans
*To train teachers and staff members to perform specialised health procedures
for their students and respond to emergency situations
*To serve as a resource and liaison person for the school community, and
*To promote optimal health and learning in students with disabilities.
